CHIP.XM (PPU Remix)

with 4 comments

There’s this old .XM file that came along with a DOS demo called ascii4everagain, many years ago.

Always loved the demo, thought the music was friggin sweet.

Tonight I remixed the track from it’s old DOS-XM sound to more of a relaxed Electronica version.

  1. Great work, really interesting to hear a chiptune remixed/reimagined like that.

I still prefer the original though! ;)

  2. I was thinking next time it’d be interesting to try sync’ing the remix to a video recording of the demo the music was from.

    • That would be neat .. though wouldn’t it limit you quite a bit artistically? If you wanted to stay synced you obviously couldn’t stray too far from the original. Beat wise at least.
